Barbara received her cosmetology aesthetician license in Melbourne, Australia.  She has completed all her board requirements in this country and received her Cosmetology Instructor license to teach in 1996.

Barbara has attended numerous classes and been to several international conventions to further her knowledge of skin care; plus teaching it to others always reinforces that knowledge.

At Grace Facial Oasis my goal is for you to have lovely healthy skin.  This may be achieved through a commitment to regular facials, facial treatments and a home maintenance schedule.

Most people when one mentions facial they think of expensive creams and glamorous services that cost a bundle.  The health benefits of a facial outweigh the beauty benefits although my experience tells me that when one feels and looks healthy they are beautiful!

Major benefits of regular facials are regulation of the immune system, detoxification, exfoliation and stress relief.  These benefits are achieved in a facial that incorporate lymphatic drainage, exfoliation treatment and aromatherapy.  The lymphatic system regulates the immune system and when it becomes blocked, fluid builds up and the entire system can become toxic and this will cause your skin to look tired, depleted and aged.

Exfoliation removes the top layers of skin so that newer younger cells may reach the surface.  This process is called "sloughing," and slows down as we age.

Aromatherapy nurtures the body, mind and soul.  Your skin and your health will benefit from these fabulous treatments.  I incorporate all of these benefits into all of my facials, which are tailored to the individual.

I also have masques that are specifically designed to target certain concerns that one may have.  The masques include:  collagen gel masque, seaweed isotonic moisture, protein, acne herbal and brightening masque.  The fruit facial incorporates real fruit into the facial itself and is a wonderful relaxing experience and yes it does work to bring about that lovely healthy glow.

Eye masques are also done here and one I love is applied over both eyes and works to benefit the eyelashes as well as eye area.

My peels are all safe and effective.  I like to do a test to make sure you can tolerate them and this can be done 24 hours prior to the peel.  I have several different peels in varying strengths to address the individual.

My ultrasonic microdermabrasion machine is clean and very effective.  It cleans, exfoliates and hydrates the skin.  As opposed to the crystal micro which only exfoliates and can be abrasive; the ultrasonic micro leaves the skin, soft smooth and hydrated which is very important to any age skin.

The new lines I have recently added are Prevonia Botanica, Medicalia, and Éminence, an organic skin care from Budapest, Hungary.

These are in addition to the popular Joey New York and Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics.

All are wonderful luxurious products that will meet the needs of the individual client.

I am very proud of my skin care salon.  This is a dream for me and I try very hard to help the individual achieve the skin she loves to show off.
